No. 5 Magnolia Montessori Halloween Carnival & Guyton Family Haunted House
Friday, October 30 (6-8 p.m.) at Community Pavilion on University, Guyton Hall at Ole Miss
Who doesn’t love a good food truck, cake walk, or playing games? This carnival does all that with a historical twist and is hosted by the Magnolia Montessori School. Also, stop by the free Guyton Family Haunted House, sponsored by the Ole Miss School of Education, for a spooking that is safe for toddlers through middle schoolers.
No. 4 Various Oxford Square Halloween Parties
Saturday, October 31 at The Oxford Square
As we mentioned earlier this week, Funkys and Proud Larry’s, among others, will be celebrating Halloween in all its costumed glory on Saturday. Complete with costume contests, the Square should be full of all sorts of creatures, ghosts and goblins Halloween night!
No. 3 Color Invasion Oxford 5K Run/Walk
Saturday, October 31 (5 p.m.) at The Stone Center
This wonderfully colorful race encourages costumes and all white attire to really make the color POP! All proceeds of the race go to benefit the Mississippi Alzheimer’s Association. For more information, join or visit the race Facebook Group. Registration is available here for $40. Discounts for children age 14 and younger are available at checkout. The race starts near the City Pool- rain or shine! See you there!
No. 2 Ole Miss v. Auburn Football Game
Saturday, October 31 (11 a.m.) at Jordan-Hare Stadium (Auburn, AL), Watch on ESPN
Fresh off of a solid win over the Texas A & M Aggies, the Rebs hit the road to take on the Auburn Tigers in another SEC battle early on a spooky Saturday. Wear red! HYDR!
No. 1 Halloween Spooktacular & City Hall Haunted House (cancelled)
Saturday, October 31 (4-6 p.m.) at Courthouse Square
This fun-filled, FREE family-friendly event (sponsored by United Way) spooks up on Halloween evening- right on the courthouse lawn- complete with prizes, games and more!
The City Hall Haunted House has been cancelled, according to the City of Oxford Facebook.
