Oxford Crime Report: Friday – Sunday, October 23 – 25
Major Jeff McCutchen issued a press release this past weekend regarding a homicide. The Oxford police officers responded to a welfare concern call at 1004 Molly Barr Road at approximately 1:35 a.m. Upon arrival, the officers found Kenneth Roberson, 52-year-old male, deceased inside the home. Anyone with information regarding this investigation should call Oxford police department at 662-232-2400 or Crime Stoppers at 234-TIPS (8477).
Oxford police responded to the following incidents: 19 disturbances, 13 suspicious activities, 13 improper parking, 11 alarms, 11 welfare concerns, nine lost properties, eight careless drivers, four malicious mischief, three harassments, three petit larcenies, three ambulance assists, three fire department assists, two auto burglaries, a shoplifting, a public intoxication, a simple assault, a littering and a false pretense.
Oxford police investigated 28 wrecks, issued 117 traffic citations and made 43 arrests on the following charges:

Warrant served and possession of drug paraphernalia
Public intoxication, fake ID and minor in possession
Public intoxication and harassment of a service animal
Public intoxication and possession of Schedule II narcotics
Careless driving, no driver’s license, no car insurance and DUI
No car tag, suspended driver’s license and marijuana in a motor vehicle
Possession of Schedule IV narcotics, disorderly conduct, running the red light and DUI

Smoking school bus at 4:48 p.m. due to the turbo malfunction on Highway 6 East
Smoke detector activated at 5:14 p.m. due to a pot boiling over at Canterbury Crest 117
Malfunction at 5:42 p.m. at Natural Products Room 310D
