#5 Double Decker Bus Tour
(Friday September 25 2:00 p.m. at Visit Oxford Visitor’s Center)
Tour Oxford and see the beauty of our city in the fall. Cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children aged 12 and under. The tour features commentary from Jack Mayfield, local historian, as the bus travels through the Square, the University of Mississippi and more. Call Visit Oxford to purchase your tickets, as you must have a ticket to ride!
#4 The Weeks in Concert
(Thursday September 24 9 p.m. at Proud Larry’s)
The Weeks are an indie-rock band hailing from Jackson, Mississippi. Tickets to this show, which also features Light BeamRider, are currently on sale for $13 in advance or $15 at the door. Visit the band’s website to sneak a peek at The Weeks’ sound.
#3 Oxford Film Festival Narrative Shorts Volunteer Opportunity
(Sunday September 27 3-8 p.m. at Powerhouse Community Arts Center)
Consider yourself a movie buff? Help the Oxford Film Festival make selections of narrative shorts to include in the festival’s program this coming February. For more information about volunteering or the film festival in general, visit the Oxford Film Festival.
#2 Sarahfest Benefit Concert with Neko Case
Sunday September 27 (6-9 p.m. at The Lyric)
Neko Case graces the stage on Sunday at The Lyric, along with special guests Tear Drop City featuring Laurie Stirratt. Tickets to this culminating event of Sarahfest are $30 in advance or $35 day of show. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.
#1 Ole Miss vs. Vanderbilt Football Game
Saturday September 26 (6 p.m. at Vaught-Hemmingway Stadium)
The Rebels take on the visiting Vanderbilt Commodores this Saturday evening at 6 p.m. The weather is supposed to be a gorgeous 81 degrees- do some Groving and then cheer on the number 3 ranked Rebels to victory! Wear red, y’all!
