Gloria Lenhoff to Perform in Concert at C.M. Scott Center Friday
Lyric soprano and accordionist Gloria Lenhoff, a Williams Syndrome musical savant, will perform in concert at C.M. Scott Center on Friday, September 18.
She will present a unique, up close and personal concert for Scott Center students from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., which will conclude with a sing-a-long.
Lenhoff has a repertoire of over 2,000 pieces and has performed overseas and throughout the United States. Also, she has received acclaim from near and far, singing in 28 foreign languages, and in a variety of styles. School parents and community members are invited to attend the free musical performance by Lenhoff, who has been featured on 60 Minutes, Nightline and Inside Edition. Scott Center is located at 401 5th Street in Oxford.
While she has performed with members of the L.A. Opera and the Boston Lyric Opera, her recent performances have brought her closer to home in the Lafayette-Oxford-University area. Her most recent concert performance was held for members of Memory Makers, a local community organization who serves those affected by memory loss due to dementia.
For more information on Lenhoff’s concert performance, the community is encouraged to contact Scott Center Principal Kathy Howington via email at kbhowington@oxfordsd.org or call (662) 232-2860.
