Oxford Crime Report: Tuesday, August 25
On August 25, 2015, investigators of the Oxford police department served an arrest warrant on Kendrick Keller, age 40 of Oxford, for seven counts of burglary to commercial building and cars. Keller was identified by the victim after surveillance footage was recovered from the burglary. Keller was booked and his bond was set at $25,000.
Oxford police responded to the following incidents: nine alarms, four suspicious activities, four scams, three welfare concerns, two disturbances, two careless drivers, public intoxication, a noise violation, an animal complaint, a lost property, a harassment, a petit larceny and an improper parking.
Oxford police investigated Eight wrecks, issued 41 traffic citations and made six arrests on the following charges:
- Careless driving, possession of drug paraphernalia and DUI
- Careless driving, suspended driver’s license and DUI
- Ran stop sign and DUI
- Possession of schedule 4 narcotics
- Santana Hervey – Arrested for promotion of prostitution in Oxford
- Kendrick Keller – Arrested for burglary
University police responded to the following incidents: five vehicle stops, a disturbance at Phi Kappa Psi house, a disturbance at Pi Kappa Alpha house, and a vandalism at Crosby Hall.
Oxford Fire Department responded to the following calls: a prank pull at 1:51 a.m. in Minor Hall, two smoke detector malfunctions at 2:53 a.m. and 4:45 a.m. in Sigma Nu house, a smoke detector malfunction at 10:09 p.m. in Brown Hall, a false alarm at 11:25 p.m. at Pi Kappa Alpha house, and a general fire alarm at 4:55 a.m. Wednesday morning with no alarm present when the fire department arrived at the Sigma Alpha Epsilon house.
