‘Moving Season’ is Always the Trend in Oxford
There are four seasons in Oxford…school season, summer, the fall and winter holiday season and of course football season. While these seasons overlap each other, they also share a common season: moving season.

Mid-school year is a common time for parents to pull their kids from school and move to a new town for that new job. The kiddos can start the new school in a new semester.
Yes, Oxford is a moving town. People move in, people move out and people move around.
The end of July is a big month for moving because it seems most rental contracts with the upper class students start August 1. So while renters who aren’t renewing clog the roadways with moving trucks, trailers and loaded-down pick-up trucks, the new folks spend the month of August trickling into town. The University has rolling move in dates for sports, band, Honors College, Greek affiliates and then the rest of the students. You could say there’s a revolving door on Oxford for all the movers, in and out, but I say the door is always open. Oxford’s motto is “a nice place to live”, and it truly is.
