“Meet the Rangers” Set for Aug. 27 at Northwest’s Franklin Field

ranger_initial_N_2CNorthwest Mississippi Community College will start its fall sports season off right with the annual “Meet the Rangers” night on Thursday, Aug. 27 at 7 p.m.

The football and men’s and women’s soccer teams, cheerleaders, Ranger Marching Band and Rangerettes will be on hand for the evening’s festivities. The event will take place at Bobby Franklin Field on the Senatobia campus. Admission is free.

Northwest will open the 2015 football season on Aug. 29 at Jones County Junior College. Northwest’s home opener will be Sept. 3 against Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College. 

This year the Ranger Band’s halftime show is entitled “Howl at the Moon” and will include “Thriller,” by Michael Jackson, “Moon over Bourbon Street,” by Sting and “Moondance” by Van Morrison.

Northwest’s men’s and women’s soccer teams will open the regular season on Aug. 21 at Copiah–Lincoln Community College.
