Oxford Crime Report: Wednesday, July 15
Oxford police responded to the following incidents: seven alarms, six suspicious activities, three ambulance assists, two malicious mischief, discharging fireworks, a disturbance, a noise violation, a civil matter, a motorist assist, a welfare concern, a fraud, a 911 call, and a house burglary at 18th Street at Cleveland Street.
Oxford police investigated seven wrecks, issued 20 traffic citations and made three arrests on the following charges: careless driving with DUI; public intoxication with possession of a fake ID; and a DUI.
University police department responded to the following incidents: eight vehicle stops and a traffic detail on Hathorn Road.
Oxford Fire Department responded to the following calls: a duct detector malfunction at 1:04 p.m. in the mechanical room at Lenoir Hall and a fire alarm system malfunction at 2:51 p.m. at The Carriage House.
