Ole Miss Football Student-Athletes Spend Time at Scott Center
Even though it’s summer, Ole Miss student-athletes have remained committed to spending time serving the greater Oxford and Lafayette communities and recently members of the Ole Miss football team spent some time at the Scott Center.
Rebel football players Laquon Treadwell, Evan Engram, Damore’ea Stringfellow and John Youngblood visited with students at the Scott Center before they headed out for summer break. The players spent time wishing them a happy and healthy summer and creating bonds just by spending some time interacting with the students and staff.
One of the goals of the Ole Miss Student-Athlete Development Rebel Life Skills program is to help Ole Miss student-athletes form bonds with members of the community, but also to impart on them lessons that they have learned through sport. In this particular meeting the Rebels were able to encourage the students to push past their challenges and continue to make a difference.
The Scott Center is an organization the Ole Miss Athletics Department has formed quite the partnership with over the years. The Scott Center has spent time with Ole Miss Athletic Department staff and student-athletes at the Manning Center and there have also been visits from Ole Miss student-athletes to the Scott Center.
