The construction of the Graduate Oxford on the corner of Lamar Boulevard and Jefferson Avenue is nearing completion, and builders AJ Capital Partners are finalizing an opening date in August for the 136-room boutique hotel.

Guests may begin reserving rooms for all Ole Miss home games except for the Texas A&M game on Oct. 24. Graduate Oxford is the fifth hotel joining the Graduate Hotel chain, which targets eclectic university towns across the U.S.
“The hallmark of Graduate Hotels is to create distinctive properties that tell the story of their communities,” said Ben Weprin, CEO of AJ Capital Partners. “Every square inch of Graduate Oxford has been thoughtfully curated to tell the story of Oxford and pay homage to the people that make Mississippi so special.”

Rooms and suites will be decorated to fit the charm of Oxford and Ole Miss.

The hotel will feature rooms typical of classic southern charm with custom art pieces, colors and patterns inspired by Oxford’s preppy Southern style. Spacious suites are aptly named for well-known Mississippi athletes, musicians and authors.

“The hotel is a treasure trove of Mississippi culture that locals will remember and visitors will discover,” Weprin said. “This was a personal project and I am extremely proud of what we have created – authentically Graduate, distinctively Oxford.”

Simple Southern details will be present throughout the entire hotel, including the restaurant, lounge and lobby.

In addition to the hotel, the property will feature a ballroom and two eating establishments. Café 82, a casual café modeled after the Neshoba County Fair, will offer home-spun classics while The Coop, an elegant roof-top terrace and lounge, will serve drinks and live music.

“Graduate Oxford will be the cornerstone hotel that represents the energy, elegance, and sophistication of Ole Miss and the Historic Square,” stated Luke Chamblee, President of Chamblee Hospitality Group, the local partner in the project. “Our family has been a part of the Oxford and Ole Miss community for over 50 years and we are excited about bringing Graduate Oxford to the Square.”

Guests may now begin reserving rooms for September on the hotel’s website or by calling 234-3031. Room rates start at $237.26 and include access to a 24-hour fitness center. Hotel packages are available. For more information, visit the hotel’s website.
