Oxford Crime Report: Thursday, May 28
Oxford police responded to the following incidents: four alarms, three welfare concerns, three disturbances, three suspicious activities, two trespassing, an ambulance assist, a noise violation, a civil matter, an animal complaint, a lost property, a petit larceny, and an 911 hang up call.
Oxford police investigated four wrecks, issued nine traffic citations and made eight arrests on the following charges: (2) careless driving with DUI; (2) contributing to the delinquency of a minor; a public intoxication; a possession of drug paraphernalia; a careless driving with a suspended driver’s license and a DUI; and a suspended driver’s license with no headlights and with a DUI.
University police responded to the following incidents: a vehicle stop, a vehicle wreck at Bishop Hall, and accidental property damage in Women’s Terrance Lot.
Oxford Fire Department responded to the following calls: a person stuck in the elevator at 11:23 a.m. at University Park Offices, a cancelled call at 1:17 p.m. at Malco Theater, and a general fire alarm malfunction at 11:54 p.m. at Della Davidson.
