Rebel Netters Finish among Top 10 in Attendance
The Ole Miss men’s tennis team boasts one of the top fan bases in the country. For the eighth consecutive year, the Rebels ranked among the nation’s top 10 in attendance, finishing ninth overall and fifth in average attendance in the recently released ITA Attendance Race standings.
The Rebels, who finished 11-2 at home this year, played in front of 3,246 fans. Nearly 1,000 supported the Rebels in their final regular season homestand against Tennessee and Kentucky.
“It’s great to be recognized again,” head coach Toby Hansson said. “We would like to thank everyone that came out to support us this year. It inspires our players to play their best tennis.”
Ole Miss earned its 22nd consecutive NCAA appearance and hosted the first and second rounds for the 12th time.
Senior Nik Scholtz will continue his season Wednesday in the NCAA Singles Championship and then team up with freshman Zvonimir Babic in the doubles Thursday. Scholtz is seeking to become the first four-time All-American in program history.
