Oxford Flea Returns to HottyToddy.com Parking Lot May 2
More than 50 vendors from around North Mississippi will converge upon Oxford this Saturday for the second installment of Oxford Flea, organized by Liz and Benjy Foster and sponsored by HottyToddy.com.
Held in the parking lot of HottyToddy.com at the corner of Jackson Avenue and Molly Barr Road from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m., this Saturday’s event will showcase dozens of artisans alongside purveyors of collectibles, antiques, vintage items and delicious food.
“You’ll find familiar vendors from the April market mixed in with almost 20 new vendors on Saturday,” Liz said. “We polled our vendors and customers after the first market to ensure that we keep improving the market.”
Among the new additions you’ll find at this Saturday’s Oxford Flea is a new stairway helping customers step down the hill into the HottyToddy.com lot from the walking path. “We had a lot of visitors parking in either the Ford Center or Oxford Middle School lots and taking the walking path to the market last time,” Benjy said. “We wanted to make sure that their entrance into the market was a safe one.”
Also taking a cue from the first market, the Fosters have secured on-site traffic enforcement to assist those who park in the HottyToddy.com lot, and are creating two parking spaces at the front of the market for pickup only. “One of our vendors alerted us to a few customers who weren’t able to carry large items to cars parked in surrounding lots last time,” says Liz. “The new temporary pickup zones will hopefully solve this problem.”
The weather is calling for 73 degrees and sunny for Saturday, so mark your calendar and walk, bike or drive down to the Oxford Flea in the HottyToddy.com parking lot at the corner of Molly Barr Road and Jackson Avenue.
