Oxford Crime Report: Thursday, March 19
Oxford police responded to the following incidents: five alarms, five noise complaints, five suspicious activities, three 911 hang up calls, two disturbances, two harassing phone calls, two ambulance assists, two frauds, two auto-burglaries at Saddle Creek and Molly Barr Road, some welfare concerns, a careless driver, a malicious mischief, an animal complaint, and a civil matter.
Oxford police investigated five wrecks, issued 31 traffic citations and made six arrests on the following charges: (2) public intoxication, a minor in possession of alcohol, a careless driving with DUI, a possession of drug paraphernalia with possession of marijuana, and no seatbelt with a suspended driver’s license with no car insurance.
University police responded to the following incidents: three vehicle stops at University Place, two vehicle stops on Manning Way, a vehicle stop on Student Union Drive, a vehicle stop in Kincannon Hall parking lot, a petit larceny at Residential College, and an auto-burglary at Crosby Hall.
Oxford Fire Department responded to the following incidents: a smoke detector activated by shower steam at Indoor Practice Facility, cancelled call at Baptist Memorial Hospital, a cancelled call at 132 Leighton Road, and a smoke detector activated by dust from construction at Natural Products.
