Oxford Listed among Most Romantic Cities in the South

Every year, Rebel couples can be spotted across Oxford and the Ole Miss campus, taking engagement photos and having weddings. Husbands and wives reminisce about the day they met under the beauty of the ancient Grove canopy or during a spring day on the Square.

16250084511_392ef70817_oOxford was ranked No. 8 in the Huffington Post’s 9 Most Romantic Cities in the South, earning the town another accolade after recently listing two of its restaurants as the best in Mississippi.

Called the “Cultural Mecca of the South,” this Southern town has plenty to do and is chock-full of history. Take a walk through William Faulkner’s old home, Rowan Oak, follow part of the Mississippi Blues Trail to learn more about your favorite musicians, and head to McEwen’s for a romantic dinner.

Wedding season is about to be in full bloom once again, and the beauty of Oxford will surely be enhanced by the love in the air.
