Ole Miss heads into Wednesday night’s contest with Georgia looking to continue the style of play they have shown with only four more games until tournament time rolls around.

Ole Miss picked up their 10th conference win Saturday night in a nail-biter over the Tennessee Volunteers 59-57. The Rebels now have an overall record of 19-8 on the year, including 10-4 in SEC play.

The Rebels were led in scoring by junior Stefan Moody with 22 points. While his teammate, senior Jarvis Summers, joined him in double-figures with 13.

If the season ended today, head coach Andy Kennedy’s squad would find themselves sitting pretty as the No. 3 seed in Nashville as they hold the tiebreaker over Texas A&M.

Georgia (17-9, 8-6 SEC) is coming to Oxford after splitting a pair of games last week against: a 68-64 loss to South Carolina and a 66-65 win at Alabama (66-65). This season the Bulldogs have five players averaging double-figures, led by senior Marcus Thornton with 12.3 points per game. Junior Charles Mann is right on his heels with 11.6 per game, and Kenny Gaines averages right at 11.5 per night.

The Bulldogs rank second in the league the rebounding margin, as they are pulling down 4.1 boards per game more than their opponent.

When the ball is thrown up in the air, it will be the 111th meeting between the two programs. Georgia holds a 69-41 advantage in the all-time series, but Ole Miss has the advantage in Oxford, going 26-21 in the series on their home court.

Fans can watch all the action at 8 p.m. on SEC Network or listen to the call on the Ole Miss Radio Network.
