Oxford Attorney Tom Freeland Dies at 59
Oxford attorney and HottyToddy.com contributor Tom Freeland, 59, died Feb. 21, 2015.
Freeland received both his undergraduate and law degrees at the University of Mississippi and was admitted to the Mississippi bar in 1981. He practiced law for years at 1013 Jackson Ave., an office he shared with his father, T.H. Freeland III, and his wife Joyce.
Freeland’s blog served as an open commentary on all north Mississippi news or stories around the South that piqued his interest. His last post, Even worse than the good ol’ days, focused on the same-sex marriage battle in Alabama.
Many who knew and loved him around Oxford and north Mississippi expressed their condolences for the beloved lawyer this weekend.
Arrangements are incomplete with Waller Funeral Home in Oxford.
