On Tuesday, February 17, the Oxford police department arrested Decarlos Curtis, 27 years of age from Charleston, Mississippi, for burglary of a commercial building. On Friday, August 15, 2014, Cambridge Station reported a burglary of one of their empty units. Through investigation Oxford police found that Mr. Curtis broke into the unit and stole some of the appliances inside. He was arrested and given a bond of $5,000.

On Tuesday, February 17, 2015, investigators of the Oxford police department charged Derrick Bledsoe, 25 years of age from Grenada, Mississippi, with Domestic Violence Aggravated Assault {97-3-7(4)}. On Saturday, February 14, officers responded to a domestic disturbance in progress. Officer arrived on scene and stopped the assault in progress. After an investigation, it was determined that Bledsoe used two types of force on the victim (strangulation and held the victim at gun point) which enhanced the crime to aggravated assault. Bledsoe was charged with Domestic Violence Aggravated Assault {97-3-7(4)} and his bond was set at $5,000.00.

Oxford police responded to the following incidents: 10 suspicious activities, 3 alarms, 2 found properties, 2 disturbances, an ambulance assist, a motorist assist, a fraud, an improper parking, a civil matter and a petit larceny.
Oxford police investigated five wrecks, issued 15 traffic citations and made seven arrests on the following charges: (5) minors in possession of alcohol; a running a stop sign with a DUI; and a domestic violence.

University police responded to the following incidents: a harassment off-campus; and an auto-burglary at University Circle.

Oxford Fire Department responded to the following calls: a smoke detector malfunction at Northgate B 102; and a smoke detector activated by cooking at Northgate B 207.
