On November 21st 2014, the Oxford police department received a video of an assault that occurred around November 12th. Detectives located the victim and spoke to him in reference to this incident. The suspect, Quentin Fronczak. 19 of Biloxi, Mississippi, was identified in the video hitting the victim with what appeared to be brass knuckles. During the investigation it was also learned that Fronczak went into the victims residence and took several items. After multiple attempts to locate Fronczak in Oxford and his home in Biloxi he turned himself in on January 29th 2015. Fronczak was charged with (97-17-23) Burglary & (97-3-7) Aggravated Assault. Fronczak was given a bond of $10,000.

Oxford police responded to the following incidents: six suspicious activities, three malicious mischief, three alarms, two disturbances, two trespassing, two welfare concerns, two frauds, an improper passing, a noise complaint, a lost property, an 911 hang-up, a careless driving, and a fire dept. assist.

Oxford police investigated eight wrecks, issued 58 traffic citations, and made six arrests on the following charges: a public intoxication; a suspended driver’s license; a speeding with no car insurance but with a DUI; a driving without headlights and in possession of schedule II narcotics; a seatbelt violation with a suspended driver’s license; and a seatbelt violation with no car tag, no driver’s license and no car insurance.

Oxford Fire Department responded to the following calls: a sprinkler broke and flooded the sprinkler room at Molly Barr Trails building 5, a smoke detector activated by cutting sheetrock on second floor at Kappa Sigma house, an alarm system testing at Winchester, a smoke detector activated by burned food at Canterbury Crest #117, and a smoke detector activated by cooking at The Village building 130, apt. 15.
