Oxford Crime Report for Tuesday, January 13
Oxford police responded to the following incidents: three welfare concerns, three disturbances, two alarms, two petit larcenies, a motorist assist, a noise complaint, an animal complaint, a malicious mischief, a shoplifting, and a suspicious activity.
Oxford police investigated seven wrecks, issued 31 traffic citations, and made 10 arrests on the following charges: (3) minor in possession of alcohol, (2) shoplifting, a public intoxication, a possession of drug paraphernalia, a running a red light with no driver’s license, a driving with no headlights nor a driver’s license, and a careless driving with a suspended driver’s license and also disorderly conduct.
University police responded to the following incidents: a motor vehicle accident on Rebel Drive, and a service call for an ambulance at the Sigma Chi house.
Oxford Fire Department a fire alarm at Stockard and Martin halls, a fire alarm at 1100 Augusta Drive, and a report of smelling gas but no leak was found at Larson’s on University Avenue.
