OSD Teachers Recognized through Annual Teacher of the Year Program

“W. B. Yeats said, ‘Education is not the filling of a bucket, but the lighting of a fire,’ and that’s what education means to our outstanding teachers,”OSD Superintendent Brian Harvey said. “They light the fire of learning for our students. We are fortunate to have them on our instructional team in our school district.”
The 2015 Oxford School District Teacher of the Year will be announced at the Jan. 26 Board of Trustees meeting. The 2015 Oxford School District Teacher of the Year will then participate in the Mississippi Department of Education’s Teacher of the Year award process.
