The Lady Rebels step back on the hardwood this evening as they travel into the O’Connell Center in Gainesville to take on the Florida Gators. Tipoff is set for 6 p.m. and will be carried nationally on Fox Sports South.

Ole Miss (11-4, 1-1 SEC) dropped a 64-58 heartbreaker to Kentucky Wildcats on Sunday afternoon where senior Tia Faleru scored 21 points and brought down 13 rebounds in the game.

With that performance against the Wildcats, Faleru continues to lead coach Matt Insell’s squad with 16.3 points per game and 10.7 rebounds each time out. The Rebels are getting key production from every other player in red and blue, like freshman A’Queen Hayes who scored double figures against Kentucky.

Florida (9-6, 1-1 SEC) picked up a 63-50 road win at Auburn last time out after dropping their conference opener to LSU 68-65. The Gators are led by Cassie Peoples, who averages 9.9 points a game.

No one on the Gators is averaging in double figures. Coming into the contest, Florida is averaging 68.5 points per game and pulling in 39.5 boards a game.

When these two teams tip the game off tonight, it will be the 32nd meeting between them. The Gators do hold a 19-14 advantage in all-time series. Last year, Florida defeated Ole Miss 81-60.

Ole Miss will return to the confines of the Tad Smith Coliseum on Sunday as they play host Alabama Crimson Tide at 2 p.m.
