Taurean Casey – Possession of Stolen Firearm
On Wednesday, December 3, 2014, investigators of the Oxford police dept. charged Taurean Casey, 21 of Oxford, MS, with two counts of possession, sale and transfer of stolen firearm with one count of manufacture, sell or possession of gun silencer or armor piercing ammunition. Taurean bond was set at $2,500.00.
Oxford police responded to the following incidents: three suspicious activities, three welfare concerns, two noise complaints, two petit larcenies, two alarms, a report, a disturbance, and an abuse of 911 call.
Oxford police investigated six wrecks, issued 24 traffic citations, and made four arrests on the following charges: shoplifting, speeding with DUI, possession of drug paraphernalia, and having no seat belt on with possession of fake ID.
University police responded to the following incidents: a motor vehicle accident with discovery of a possession of drug paraphernalia, a DUI, and a false identification card at Dormitory Row North, three motor vehicle accidents on Rebel Drive, a lost property and a petit larceny at the Turner Center, and two motor vehicle accidents at Fraternity Alley.
Oxford Fire Dept. responded to the following calls: a pull station fire alarm malfunction at Kappa Sigma house, and a smoke detector malfunction at 107 Miller Landing.
