Oxford police responded to the following incidents: six alarms, five welfare concerns, three suspicious activities, a lost property, a noise complaint, a motorist assist, an improper parking, a 911 hang up call, a malicious mischief, an animal assist, an uttering forgery, a careless driver, a fire dept. assist, and an auto-burglary at 1400 E. Jackson Ave.
Oxford police investigated 14 wrecks, issued 28 traffic citations, and made five arrests on the following charges: (2) shoplifters, a possession of drug paraphernalia, having an expired tag with a suspended driver’s license, and a driving with no headlights, driver’s license nor car insurance.
Oxford police discovered no code enforcement violations.
University police responded to the following incidents: a motor vehicle accident at Farley Hall, a traffic detail at Hill Drive, a motor vehicle accident at Ford Center, and a larceny at Stockard Hall.
Oxford Fire Dept. responded to the following calls: a report of smelling smoke that came from a shorted outlet at 814 E. Jackson Avenue, and a cancelled call about a wreck with entrapment (but there was no entrapment) at Highway 7 North in front of Dollar General.
