Ole Miss travels to the bayous of Louisiana Saturday night as they take on the LSU Tigers in Death Valley.
The No. 3 ranked Rebels are off to their second-best start in program history with a record of 7-0, which is just like the 1962 season when Ole Miss ended the season 10-0.
Coach Hugh Freeze has really turned the program around in three years in Oxford with the atmosphere around the program being sky high.

The last time Ole Miss defeated the Bayou Bengals inside Tiger Stadium was 31-13 back in 2008 under coach Houston Nutt. That game introduced what the two schools are playing for today — the Magnolia Bowl.
The trophy was concocted by both of the schools’ student populations and elected to call it the Magnolia Bowl because of the Magnolia flower being the state flower for both Louisiana and Mississippi.
When these two teams meet on the gridiron, people can throw the records out the window because both of them will get after each other. This season, the Rebels defense is on top of its game by only allowing opponents to score six touchdowns in seven games and scoring four of their own defensive touchdowns off of forced fumbles and interceptions.
Senior quarterback Bo Wallace has been sharp as a nail in conference play, not throwing an interception in four games or turning the ball over.
With the Landshark defense acting like a shark on the field, the offense does not feel pressured to score every time they get the ball.
LSU, coached by Les Miles, enter Saturday night’s game with a record of 6-2 after dominating Kentucky 41-3 last weekend. The Tigers defense has gotten stronger as the season as progressed by only allowing their opposition to score 17.0 per game.
Kick off is slated for 6:15 p.m. on ESPN — and with it being close to Halloween, the night game in Death Valley could be a little spooky.
