Rebel Spirit on the March With a Musical Twist

Published

on

Rebel spirit was on display all day and night Saturday and HottyToddy.com writer/photographer Callie Daniels captured the images — from Rebelettes to Rebel fans to Rebel Pride of the South musicians and cheerleaders.
These images put you right there on the Vaught turf:

RebelettesRocking

The Rebelettes were rocking!

FlippingCheer

And the cheerleaders were flipping!

HalftimeBand2

And the Pride of the South Band was hitting every note!

HalftimeRebelettes

The Rebelettes are a precision squad.

HalftimeDrumLeader

The Rebel drum major has it in control.

HalftimeXlyphones

Musical excellence comes to the front.

The Rebelettes are always smiling.

HalftimeTwirler

The baton twirlers keep the halftime show in motion.

If the Vols had won the whole football world would have tipped upside down.

DrumLeader

The band is ready to take the field at halftime.

Cheerleader

Let’s go for the win Rebels!

A touching military reunion was a hit with the crowd.

Liam and Woody ask the crowd ‘Are you ready!’

Cheerleaders

Rebel cheerleaders répond ‘Hell Yes!’

LoudCannon

Touchdowns are nice but that cannon is a little loud.

OpeningBand4

The Pride of the South band was as on-target as the football team in the Rebel victory.

GunnerSargeant

Marine Gunnery Sgt. Stephen Roberts returned to cheer on the Rebels!

Note: Those who watched the Ole Miss play a home game against the Texas Longhorns in 2011 may remember Sgt. Roberts (aka “Ole Miss Screamin’ Marine”) hollering “TOUCHDOWN!” at Marquise Goodwin. Here is a .gif of that awesome moment. Sgt. Roberts also started the Hotty Toddy cheer last season. We were glad to see our rebel-hearted alumni back for the Homecoming.
HaltimeBand

A magical evening had the right music and the right Rebel pride.

RebelBearCrowd

And the Rebel reach for No. 1 marches on.

Fan

This fan says it all. A sweet night.
