Beta Beta Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma International Society presented the Red Rose Award to Nancy Loome.
Beta Beta Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma International Society presented the Red Rose Award to Nancy Loome, President of the Parents’ Campaign Research and Education Fund and Executive Director of the Parents’ Campaign, a network of 64,000 supporters of Mississippi Public Schools.
Since 2004, Loome has concentrated her energy on supporting public education. She keeps an eye on state developments, collaborates with Mississippi’s Department of Education, and groups such as Mississippi’s Economic Council.
Her presentations focus on data, the good news, and the opportunities for improvement. Loome has been especially helpful to Beta Beta Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma International Society for Key Women Leaders as they work to develop and support women leaders in education across Lafayette, Calhoun, Panola and Yalobusha Counties.
Most recently, Loome introduced opportunities to engage with Mississippi’s Lieutenant Governor and the Education Chairs for the House and the Senate. Her efforts led to our recent ZOOM meeting with our State Senator Nicole Boyd.
Loome has served in groups such as the Roger F. Wicker Center for Creative Learning, the Mississippi PTA, and the Mississippi Economic Council’s Blueprint Advisory Committee.
Known for her dedication to improving education in Mississippi and her always finding the “good news,” Loome has received numerous awards. The Mississippi College Department of Education, Mississippi PTA, Clinton Public Schools, Mississippi Department of Education, and Mississippi Association of School Administrators are among the groups who have honored Nancy.
In 2011, she was inducted into the Delta State University Hall of Fame.
The parents of two graduates of public schools, Loome and her husband Jim reside in Clinton.
