Oxford Police Department issued 27 tickets, investigated 18 wrecks and the following reports on Nov. 18 & 19:

9 disturbing the peace
1 elderly assist
1 fire department assist
1 grand theft
1 improper parking
2 lost property complaints
2 malicious mischief
3 motorist assists

Officers made the following arrests:
1 credit card fraud
1 trespassing
1 carrying a concealed weapon
1 possession of drug paraphernalia
1 suspended driver’s license, possession of a schedule 2 drug, speeding and no insurance
4 warrants served
Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department made two arrests for family disturbance and investigated the following reports:
1 simple assault
2 alarms
2 animal complaints
1 civil matter
4 disturbances
2 follow up
2 petit larceny
4 service calls
1 sexual assault
2 transports
1 welfare concern
University Police Department investigated two wrecks and the following reports:
1 trespassing
1 suspicious vehicle
2 wrecks
2 ambulance calls
1 suspicious person
Oxford Fire Department responded to the following calls:
10:29 a.m. – Southern Coop – call canceled
11:39 a.m. – Goodwill – a customer pulled a fire alarm as they were leaving the store as a prank
12:10 p.m. – BMH – call canceled
1:48 p.m. – West Jackson Ave / Advanced Auto Parts Area – wreck with injuries
2:42 p.m. – Sigma Nu house – workers activated the fire alarm system
3:01 p.m. – Pi Beta Phi house – smoke detector malfunction
9:25 p.m. – Oxford Conference Center – someone accidentally bumped a pull station fire alarm with a trash can
3:04 a.m. 11/20 – UM parking garage by Minor Hall – people stuck on an elevator
