Paragon Bank Partners with Oxford Pantry During the Holiday Season
Approaching the holiday season, many in the Oxford-Lafayette community will struggle with food insecurity. In an effort to combat hunger that local families are facing, Paragon Bank is spearheading a canned food and donation drive to bolster the food reserves at the Oxford Pantry.
The Oxford Pantry provides supplemental food to approximately 500 Oxford and Lafayette county families in need every month.
“The giving spirit in this community during the holiday season sustains the Oxford Pantry year-round and enables us to truly help people in need,” said John Kohne, the Pantry’s director.
Financial donations are especially welcome and can be mailed to The Oxford Pantry at P. O. Box 588, Oxford, MS 38655. Canned food items most needed are canned vegetables, soups, meats and fruit and may be dropped off at Paragon Bank, 265 North Lamar Blvd., Suite N through December 31.
“We at Paragon Bank are glad to partner with the Oxford Pantry and to be involved with their continued impact within our community,” said Kin Kinney, Paragon Oxford Market President. “Serving within the Oxford and Lafayette County community is part of our mission.”
