Oxford Police Department issued 18 tickets, investigated eight wrecks and the following reports:

1 malicious mischief complaints
4 suspicious activities

2 suspicious vehicles
1 trespassing
Officers made the following arrests:
1 disturbing the peace and disorderly conduct
1 possession of drug paraphernalia
1 possession of a schedule 2 drug, suspended driver’s license, no insurance and expired tag
Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department investigated four wrecks and the following reports:
1 agency assist
1 animal complaint
3 disturbances
1 domestic violence
2 follow-ups
2 information
1 juvenile complaint
1 petty theft
8 service calls
1 suspicious activity
5 transports
1 welfare concern
Deputies made the following arrests:
1 out of county warrant
1 domestic violence
University Police Department investigated one wreck and the following reports:
1 property damage
1 vandalism
Oxford Fire Department responded to the following calls:
2:32 p.m. – Commerce Drive / Hwy 7 south area – wreck with injuries – we provided 1st aid and stood by for EMS
6:46 p.m. – Three Way Grocery – called to assist EMS with a patient lift
4:33 a.m. – Pegues Road area – smell of smoke – there is an authorized burn in the area
