Officers made the following arrests:

1 careless driving, no driver’s license, no insurance and speeding
1 domestic violence-simple assault
1 possession of drug paraphernalia and driving while license suspended
1 possession of drug paraphernalia and tint violation
1 possession of a schedule 1 drug, possession of schedule 2 drug, no driver’s license and no insurance
3 public drunks

Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department investigated four wrecks and the following reports:

University Police Department investigated three wrecks and the following reports:

2 ambulances needed
1 reckless driving

Officers made the following arrests:
1 improper equipment and possession of drug paraphernalia
1 public drunk and possession of a fake ID
1 weapon on school property
Oxford Fire Department responded to the following calls:
10/31 – 9:23 a.m. – Hermitage Gardens – smoke machine activated a smoke detector
10/31 – 12:57 p.m. – Thacker Loop / Hwy 6 West – wreck with injuries – provided first aid and monitored until EMS arrived
10/31 – 5:05 p.m. – The Blake – smoke machine activated a smoke detector
10/31 – 8:40 p.m. – 204 Wilson Cove – burned grease activated a smoke detector
11/01 – 3:09 a.m. – Sigma Chi room 105 – smoke detector malfunction
11/01 – 4:38 a.m. – 224 Karen Drive – smoke detector malfunction
11/01 – 4:48 a.m. – Rebel Book Store – smoke detector malfunction
11/01 – 4:53 p.m. – 821 Fillmore – smoke machine in the yard
11/01 – 7:11 p.m. – Lost Pizza – medical assist – monitored until EMS arrived
11/01 – 8:07 p.m. – Cash Saver parking lot – subject having an allergic reaction – supplied oxygen and monitored until EMS arrived
10/02 – 5:24 a.m. – 2109 Harris Drive – resident advised she smelled gas and her carbon monoxide detector activated – checked inside and out with a gas monitor and found Nothing
11/02 – 3:17 p.m. – Kappa Alpha Theta house by room 3 – shower steam activated the hall smoke detector
11/03 – 1:06 a.m. – Hwy 6 East / Chucky Mullins area – wreck with rollover – no extrication – stood by while wrecker recovered the vehicle
11/03 – 3:40 & 04:20 a.m. – South Oxford Center – second-floor mechanical room #203 – smoke detector malfunction
11/03 – 2:19 p.m. – Cash Saver area – subject having a seizure – monitored patient until EMS arrived
11/03 – 3:38 p.m. – Harrison Square parking garage – a sprinkler head was knocked off by a U-Haul activating the sprinkler system
11/03 – 3:57 p.m. – High Cotton Condos – someone called Station 1 stating there was an alarm going off at High Cotton – nothing found
11/03 – 8:54 p.m. – 211 Powers Dr. – fire alarm system alarm malfunction – residents said they were having issues with the alarm system
11/03 – 10:15 p.m. – Your Extra Closet 610 McLarty Road – unauthorized burn – a man had a fire in a bucket
11/04 – 12:21 a.m. – Pi Kappa Alpha house No. 306 – resident smoking in the room activated the smoke detector
