Officers made the following arrests:

1 DUI, reckless driving and disorderly conduct

1 DUI, possession of drug paraphernalia, no driver’s license, no insurance and seat belt violation
1 DUI-second and running a stop sign
1 careless driving, suspended driver’s license and no insurance
1 fake ID, littering and disorderly conduct
1 fake ID and cutting a corner
1 no driver’s license and no insurance
1 possession of schedule 2 drugs, one headlight and K9 search
3 public drunks
1 public drunk and disturbing the peace
3 shopliftings
1 shoplifting and trespassing
Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department investigated four wrecks and the following reports:

Deputies made the following arrests:

University Police Department investigated two wrecks and the following reports:
1 malicious mischief
1 loud music
1 possession of alcohol by a person under 21
3 ambulances needed
3 intoxicated person
1 harassment
1 suspicious person
Oxford Fire Department responded to the following calls:
10/25 – 9:29 a.m. – 1912 Jackson Ave West – patient having a seizure – monitored until EMS arrived
10/25 – 10:16 a.m. – Uno Mas Restaurant – cooking activated a smoke detector
10/25 – 4:13 p.m. – 1100 Augusta Drive – call canceled
10/26 – 3:13 a.m. – La Perla Tapitia – fire alarm malfunction
10/26 – 7:28 a.m. – Croft Institute – second-floor smoke detector malfunction
10/26 – 9:28 a.m. – Vaught Hemingway – EMS assist
10/26 – 10:18 a.m. – Heritage Park – patient with stroke symptoms – monitored until EMS arrived
10/26 – 11:40 a.m. – 1100 Augusta Dr. – general fire alarm malfunction
10/26 – 11:41 a.m. – Country Club of Grand Oaks – a child pulled a fire alarm
10/26 – 1:27 p.m. – 120 Park Dr. area – a limb was on a power line causing it to arc – no fire
10/26 – 1:55 p.m. – The Depot – duct detector malfunction
10/26 – 6:02 p.m. – Pi Kappa Phi house – grilling outside the kitchen activated the kitchen smoke detector
10/26 – 7:44 p.m. – BMH – burned popcorn in a waiting room
10/26 – 10:27 p.m. – Sam-Gerard Hall – general fire alarm malfunction
10/26 – 10:53 p.m. – The Links – burned food activated a smoke detector
10/27 – 10:44 a.m. – Fillup at Billips – smell of natural gas – it was the venting of the water heater
10/27 – 11:13 a.m. – Anderson Grove Apartments – patient with chest pains – monitored vitals until EMS arrived
10/27 – 11:30 p.m. – 242 Massee Circle – Carbon Monoxide detector malfunction
