Stabbing in Oxford Leads to the Arrest of a Batesville Man
A Batesville man was arrested recently for allegedly stabbing a man several times during a fight in Oxford.
According to the Oxford Police Department, at about 1:25 p.m. Sunday, officers responded to a fight between a group of men on North Lamar Boulevard in front of Pita Pit.
Officers found a man with multiple non-life threatening stab wounds to the leg and chest.
The suspect, later identified as Johnny James, 24, of Batesville, was soon found and arrested.
He was charged with aggravated assault and taken to the Lafayette County Detention Center where he was booked on a $25,000 bond.
