Ole Miss Athletics will host its sixth annual Square Jam on the Historic Oxford Square Friday, Oct. 18. The night will feature the men’s and women’s basketball teams beginning at 6:30 p.m. ESPN host Jimmy Dykes will be the emcee.

The Rebels will showcase their skills on a basketball court with lights set up on the east side of the Square in the parking lot in front of City Hall. Fans will get to see the teams participate in player introductions, a dunk contest and other interactive fan contests with student-athletes from the Rebel hoops teams.

For the second year in a row, members of the Rebel Kids Club that are age six or younger can sign up for a chance to showcase their dunking skills in the Kids Dunk Contest.

Both head coaches, Kermit Davis and Yolett McPhee-McCuin, will sign autographs after the event. That Saturday the football team will host the Texas A&M Aggies in the Vaught.

The Pride of the South basketball band will be in attendance, and new enhancements to the fan experience this year include a new video board, lighting and various effects.

The Ole Miss women’s basketball team will begin its 2019-20 season with an exhibition against Clark Atlanta Nov. 1 inside The Pavilion at Ole Miss, while the men will tipoff Nov. 4 in a home exhibition vs. Mississippi College. The Rebel women open the regular season at home the next day (Nov. 5) against Mississippi Valley State, while the Rebel men open against Arkansas State Nov. 8.
