The following reports were made Sept. 12, 2019, by city, university and county law enforcement agencies, unless otherwise noted.
Oxford Police Department issued 22 tickets, investigated nine wrecks and the following reports:

2 ambulance assists
1 animal complaint
1 civil matter
1 counterfeit currency
1 disturbing the peace
1 domestic disturbance
1 harassing phone call
1 improper parking
1 larceny
1 malicious mischief
5 suspicious activities
5 suspicious people
2 vehicle searches
Officers made the following arrests:
1 DUI and possession of drug paraphernalia
8 minors in possession of alcohol
1 minor in possession of alcohol and fake ID
1 possession of drug paraphernalia, no driver’s license and tint violation
1 public drunk
1 public drunk and fake ID
1 trespassing
1 warrant served, suspended driver’s license and no insurance
Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following reports:
3 agency assists
1 alarm
1 domestic violence
1 harassment
3 informational reports
1 noise complaint
1 reckless driving
1 road obstruction
3 service calls
1 suspicious activity
1 suspicious person
1 suspicious vehicle
2 welfare concerns
10 process served
Deputies made the following arrests:
1 possession of drug paraphernalia
1 suspended driver’s license, no tag and no proof of insurance
University Police Department investigated fives wrecks, one report of vandalism and made one arrest for public drunkenness.
Oxford Fire Department responded to the following calls:
9:59 a.m. – The Chancellor House Hotel Spa – fire alarm malfunction
15:14 p.m.- 2609 Walnut Hills #2 – caller advised of dizziness and shoulder pain – EMS already on scene
22:10 p.m. – Turnberry Condos Bldg. P – elevator pit smoke detector malfunction
23:44 p.m. – Molly Barr & Chickasaw Rd. – report of an 18-year-old having trouble breathing – supplied oxygen until EMS arrived
1:09 a.m. 9/12 – Kappa Sigma House – someone discharged a fire extinguisher as a prank
