Chick-fil-A on West Jackson Avenue is celebrating 10 years of successful business this month with a community celebration on Aug. 20.

To commemorate the achievement, the store is going to be handing out cake and cookies that day for lunch and in the afternoon. Also, the owners of Sweet T’s Bakery will be building a 5-foot cake display that will be featured in the dining room for the week.

“We are blessed to be here,” said Lance Reed, operator of Chick-fil-A West Jackson. “We are always looking for ways to give back to the community.”

In addition to sweet treats, the restaurant will be running promotions each day of the celebration week. Most promotions will be applied through the Chick-fil-A app or through a mobile order. Each promotion will take 24 hours to appear on the app.

  • On Monday, Aug. 19 from 6 p.m. – 10 p.m., customers will receive a free Chick-fil-A sandwich after scanning the app or placing a mobile order.
  • On Tuesday, Aug. 20 from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., customers will receive a free hand-spun milkshake after scanning the app or placing a mobile order.
  • On Wednesday, Aug. 21 from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., customers will receive free Chick-fil-A nuggets (8 ct.) after scanning the app or placing a mobile order.
  • On Thursday, Aug. 22 from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., customers will receive a free chocolate chunk cookie after scanning the app or placing a mobile order.

According to the store’s marketing director, Carley Wilkinson, the store is also asking customers to submit short videos of a favorite memory or moment they might have experienced at the restaurant in Oxford.

“(It could be) a special moment they shared with one of our team members, a new menu item they got really excited about or even an event that really stood out to them such as Princess Ball or Family Fall Festival,” she said.

Customers can submit videos through a direct message to the store’s social media pages. For any video they choose to share on social media, the sender will receive a free 30 ct. nugget.

Reed said he and his team are looking forward to the next 10 years in Oxford, a community that has given so much to them.

“We thank all our guests for coming. It’s an honor and a privilege to be in this community,” he said.
