The Southeastern Conference league released a challenging 2020 Ole Miss football schedule Wednesday. Out of 12 games, the Rebels will take the gridiron against eight SEC foes.
The Rebels will open the slate at the AdvoCare Texas Kickoff in Houston against the Baylor Bears Sept. 5. Last season, Ole Miss defeated Texas Tech 47-27 in the AdvoCare Texas Kickoff.
Coach Matt Luke and his team will “Lock the Vaught” for the first time in 2020 against Southeast Missouri (Sept. 12) and open up the conference slate against Auburn (Sept. 19). The Rebels will close out the month in Death Valley against LSU (Sept. 26).
The month of October opens with the Rebels hosting Alabama (Oct. 3), followed by a trip to Vanderbilt (Oct. 10). Florida will visit Oxford (Oct. 17) for the first time since 2007, followed by a non-conference matchup against Middle Tennessee (Oct. 24) to close out the month before the season’s open date (Oct. 31).
Back-to-back SEC road games at Texas A&M (Nov. 7) and Arkansas (Nov. 14) open the final month of the season, followed by a home matchup with Georgia Southern (Nov. 21). Ole Miss hosts Mississippi State on Thanksgiving night (Nov. 26) in the annual Battle for the Golden Egg to close out the regular season.
The 2020 season will culminate with the SEC Championship Game in Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta on Saturday, Dec. 5. It will be the 29th edition of the game and the 27th in the city of Atlanta.
