Oxford Police Department issued 35 tickets, made one arrest for simple assault and investigated two wrecks and the following reports:

2 credit card frauds
1 domestic disturbance
1 forgery
2 identity thefts
1 improper parking
1 larceny
1 lost property
1 malicious mischief
1 noise violation vehicle
1 suspicious activity
1 suspicious person
1 utility call
1 welfare check
Lafayette Sheriff’s Department investigated the following reports:
1 agency assist
2 alarms
4 animal complaints
1 commercial burglary
2 civil matters
2 court details
2 disturbances
1 domestic violence
1 grand larceny
2 harassments
1 reckless driving
2 road obstructions
7 service calls
1 suspicious vehicle
1 traffic complaint
7 transports
1 welfare concern
Deputies made the following arrests:
1 out-county-warrant
1 DUI
1 uttering forgery and commercial burglary
University Police Department responded to no calls and made no arrests
Oxford Fire Department responded to the following calls:
12:06 p.m. – Domino’s West Jackson – prep line cooler had a short and started a small fire; extinguished with a powder extinguisher
12:23 p.m. – First Presbyterian Church – power surge from storm activated the fire alarm system
12:30 p.m. – Campus Creek Apartments – call canceled
8:15 p.m. – The Archive 2102 – water leaking into a detector caused an activation
11:16 p.m. & 1:42 a.m. – Bondurant Hall – heat duct detector malfunction
