Oxford Police Department issued 20 tickets, investigated seven wrecks and the following reports:

3 alarms
1 disturbing the peace
2 domestic disturbances
2 fire department assists
1 K-9 search
3 larcenies
1 lost property
1 other agency assist
1 phone harassment
1 property damage
1 suspicious activity
2 trespassing complaints
2 welfare checks

OPD officers made the following arrests:
1 disorderly conduct-failure to comply
1 domestic violence with simple assault
1 DUI, cutting corner, speeding and careless driving
1 public drunk

Lafayette Sheriff’s Department made no arrests, investigated two wrecks and the following reports:

2 animal complaints
1 civil matter
1 death
1 disturbance
1 domestic violence
3 information
1 noise complaint
2 petty thefts
4 road obstructions
3 service calls
1 suspicious activity
1 suspicious person

University Police Department served one warrant and investigated the following reports:
1 suspicious vehicle
1 larceny
1 medical call

Oxford Fire Department responded to the following calls:
10:28 a.m. – Garland Hall – basement storage room smoke detector malfunction
11:24 a.m. – Super 8 West Jackson – seizure patient – monitored until EMS arrived
12:02 p.m. – 1900 University Avenue parking lot – OUT bus on fire in the engine area – FD extinguished the fire – all passengers were safely off the bus
12:27 p.m. – Regions Bank West Jackson – strong smell of gas – Centerpoint Energy Gas Company had purged a gas line in the back of the bank causing it to smell
1:34 p.m. – Mosiac Drive Plein Air Subdivision in Taylor – trench rescue
5:01 p.m. – Shipley’s – steering column of a vehicle is smoking – there was no smoke when FD arrived
6:18 p.m. – Molly Barr Road at University Trails – wreck with injuries
1:26 a.m. – 2000 Archive Circle No. 2002 – all of the smoke detectors were malfunctioning
