Oxford Man Charged With Armed Robbery
An Oxford man was arrested for armed robbery.
Officers with the Oxford Police Department responded to a convenience store on Highway 6 to take a report of an armed robbery that had just taken place.
The victim was in their car when they were robbed, according to OPD, and ran to the store to use the phone to call 911 since their phone was stolen.
No other details of where the alleged robbery took place were made available.
Investigators learned during the course of the investigation that Jameron Conway, 27, was the main suspect in the robbery. A warrant was issued for his arrest.
Conway was contacted by telephone and later turned himself in within two hours of the robbery being reported.
He was taken to the Lafayette County Detention Center where he was booked on a $75,000 bond.
