The No. 12 national seed Ole Miss Rebels will head into an SEC West showdown against the No. 5 national seed Arkansas Razorbacks in a best-of-three series with the winner going to Omaha.

Ole Miss (40-25) comes into the super regionals after a strong performance at home in the Oxford Regional as the club is playing very loose and with a lot of excitement.

The Rebels lineup has been very productive throughout the postseason as the team plated a total of 41 runs in three games during the first round of the Oxford Regional.

This weekend, Coach Mike Bianco and his club are going into an environment where they have had previous success.

“[It is] a familiar place,” Bianco said to the media on Tuesday. “The only difference is feeling a little bit more comfortable on how to get there and who we are playing from a scouting report-wise.”

Playing the Razorbacks in Bahum Stadium will be a tough environment and a challenge for Ole Miss, according to Bianco.

The Rebels’ first baseman Cole Zabowski discussed how far the team had gone this weekend and how much they looked forward to the matchup.

“We know what to expect [from the crowd], so there won’t really be that time to have to get used to the field and the stadium,” Zabowski said.

This season the Rebels have defeated the Razorbacks in 3-out-of-5 games and won the series in Fayetteville.

Ole Miss and Arkansas will take the diamond at 11 a.m. Saturday on ESPN.
