OPD Arrests 2 for DUI 4th, Shoplifting

OPD recently arrested two Lafayette and Yalobusha County citizens for DUI and shoplifting.

Daphne Rogers, 39, of Water Valley, was attempting to flee Kroger when she was apprehended by the Oxford Police Department Thursday, May 16. She was arrested and charged with felony shoplifting. Her bond was set at $5,000 by a justice court judge.

After making a traffic stop on College Hill Rd. Tuesday, May 21, an OPD officer issued a DUI investigation on Mitchell Parrish, 29, of Abbeville. During the course of the investigation, OPD officers learned Parrish had at least three prior DUI convictions on his record.

He was arrested and transported to the Lafayette County Detention Center and charged with DUI 4th, careless driving, no insurance, and open container. A justice court judge set his bond at $5,000.
