Oxford Police Department issued 50 tickets, investigated six wrecks and the following reports:

OPD officers made the following arrests:
1 disturbing the peace
1 domestic violence with simple assault
1 DUI, child endangerment by DUI and other agency assist
1 DUI and expired tag
1 possession of drug paraphernalia and speeding
1 possession of marijuana and expired tag
1 public drunk
2 for shoplifting
1 shoplifting and trespassing
1 warrant served
Lafayette Sheriff’s Department investigated two wrecks and the following reports:

1 passing a stopped bus while unloading children
1 suspended driver’s license, possession of paraphernalia
1 writ to take custody
University Police Department investigated one report of a suspicious person and conducted three traffic stops.

Oxford Fire Department responded to the following calls:
9:06 a.m. – Village Walk Apartments- third-floor balcony smoke detector malfunction
11:25 a.m. – Anchorage Road – wreck – no injuries
1:37 p.m. – Boys and Girls Club – basketball hit the fire alarm pull station
2:12 p.m. – 1201 Medical Park Drive – OFD Inspections testing the alarm system
5:54 p.m. – Moore Brothers Car Lot – fire in the cab of a vehicle behind their shop – FD extinguished the fire
