The following reports were made May 8, 2019, by city, university and county law enforcement agencies, unless otherwise noted.

Oxford Police Department made two arrests for trespassing, issued two tickets, investigated 10 wrecks and the following reports:
1 abandoned vehicle
4 alarms
1 ambulance assist
2 animal complaints
2 careless driving complaints
1 civil matter
1 disturbing the peace
1 domestic disturbance
2 fire department assists
2 larcenies
1 lost property
2 motorist assists
1 shoplifting
1 simple assault
2 suspicious activities
1 trespassing
3 welfare checks

OPD made the following arrests:
1 DUI
1 no driver’s license and no insurance
1 warrant served, driving while license suspended and no seat belt

Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department investigated one wreck and the following reports:
2 agency assists
1 alarm
2 disturbances
1 follow-up
3 harassments
1 information
1 petty theft
1 road obstruction
7 service calls
1 suspicious activity
1 suspicious vehicle
1 transport

Deputies made the following arrests:
1 aggravated assault with domestic violence
1 possession of a firearm by a felon

University Police Department reports were unavailable Thursday.

Oxford Fire Department responded to the following calls:
7:31 a.m. – 109 Rosemont Loop – call canceled
4:35 p.m. – 100 Azalea Drive – Elmcroft Assisted Living – assisted EMS in removing a patient from a vehicle and load into an ambulance
5:03 p.m. – Kappa Alpha house – cooking activated a smoke detector
8:07 p.m. – Hedleston Hall – first-floor smoke detector malfunction
