The Oxford Driver’s Licence Office on Veteran’s Boulevard is open today after being closed for several days due to a personnel shortage, according to the Mississippi Department of Public Safety.

However, the doors will be closed again on Friday.

Several Driver’s Licence Offices in MS are experiencing staff shortages forcing some to close for days at a time, including the Oxford office.

An employee with the Driver’s Licence Office in Oxford said this morning she was unsure if the office will be open next week.

DPS announces any driver’s license office closings on its Facebook and Twitter pages.

The office in Oxford will be open until 5 p.m. today but will close from 12 to 1:30 p.m. for lunch.

Those needing services while the Oxford branch is closed can go to the Driver’s Licence Office in Batesville, located at 22000 A Highway 35 North.

Many services such as renewing a valid driver’s license can be done online at https://www.ms.gov/dps/license_renewal/.

The Oxford office will be moving into the new Lafayette County Business Complex in June.
