Oxford Mother Charged With Injuring Child
The Oxford Police Department arrested an Oxford Monday on a charge of felony child abuse.
According to reports, on April 5, investigators responded to Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi for a report of child abuse.
On arrival, investigators learned that a child has sustained suspicious serious injuries and was transported to LeBonheur Children’s Hospital in Memphis.
Investigators determined the child’s mother, Desirae Robinson, 21, of Oxford was allegedly responsible for the child’s injuries.
Officers arrested Robinson today on a warrant for felony child abuse. She was taken to the Lafayette County Detention Center where she was booked on a $15,000 bond.
