The following reports were made April 8, 2019, by city and county law enforcement agencies, unless otherwise indicated.

Oxford Police Department issued eight tickets, made one arrest for DUI and one headlight and investigated five wrecks and the following reports:
1 abuse of 911 call
6 alarms
1 burglary
1 counterfeit currency
1 credit card fraud
1 cyberstalking
1 disturbing the peace complaint
3 domestic disturbances
2 larcenies
1 malicious mischief
3 motorist assists
1 shoplifting
3 suspicious activities
4 suspicious people
1 suspicious vehicle
1 trespassing
1 vehicle search
1 welfare check

Lafayette Sheriff’s Department investigated one wreck and the following reports:
2 agency assists
1 alarm
1 animal complaint
1 civil matter
1 court detail
1 domestic violence
3 follow-ups
1 information
1 noise complaint
1 petty larceny
3 road obstructions
5 service calls
1 suspicious activity
1 suspicious person
4 transports
3 welfare concerns

Deputies Made the following arrests:
1 domestic violence with simple assault
1 OPD warrant

University Police Department investigated one wreck and investigated a report of a suspicious vehicle.

Oxford Fire Department responded to the following calls:
9:29 a.m. – Baptist Memorial Hospital-North MS – Heat detector activation due to steam
4:31 p.m. – 134 Thacker Loop – electrical outlet going bad and smoking – no fire
5 p.m. – Phi Kappa Tau house – fan motor on a/c unit going bad and smoking
