Diamond Rebels Climb to No. 11 in D1 Baseball Polls

The Ole Miss Rebels baseball team jumped up seven spots to No. 11 in D1 Baseball.com ranks after sweeping the Florida Gators at home over the weekend.
Ole Miss (23-10, 8-4 SEC) scored 40 runs on 49 hits throughout the series. The Rebels offense belted four home runs off the bats of Tyler Keenan, Cole Zabowski (2) and Cooper Johnson with extra-base knocks against Florida.
In the second game of the doubleheader on Saturday, Florida jumped out to a 4-0 advantage. Despite the adversity, the Rebels battled back for the win.
The Gators dropped out of this week’s Top 25 polls.
Coach Mike Bianco’s club is currently in a three-way tie for first in the Western Division with LSU and Arkansas.
The Rebels travel to Pearl, Mississippi to take on the Southern Miss Golden Eagles on Tuesday night. First pitch is slated for 6 p.m.
