UM Athletics Releases Details of Kermit Davis’ Contract Extension

The Ole Miss Athletics Department revealed Thursday the details of Ole Miss basketball head coach Kermit Davis’ contract terms to an extension he signed March 19.
Over the life of the contract, Davis will be paid $12 million in base compensation ($2.85 million in 2019-20, $2.95 million in 2020-21, $3.05 million in 2021-22 and $3.15 million in 2022-23.)
His annual incentive awards include:
Attendance:
$50,000 – Average actual attendance of 8,000 per game or 5,500 season tickets sold $75,000 – (SEC play) Average actual attendance of 9,000 per game or 6,500 season tickets sold
SEC:
$100,000 – for finishing in the top 4 (including a tie) in the SEC regular season standings $100,000 – for winning SEC Regular Season (Champions or co-champions)
$50,000 – for winning SEC Tournament Championship (or $25,000 for participating in the game)
Post-Season Play:
$50,000 – Participation in NCAA Tournament
$25,000 – For each win in NCAA Tournament up to the Final Four
$125,000 – Participation in the Final Four of the NCAA Tournament
$250,000 – For winning the NCAA Championship
$25,000 – Participation in the NIT Final Four (or $50,000 for winning NIT Championship)
Coach of the Year:
$50,000 – SEC Coach of the Year as selected by the AP or the SEC Coaches
$75,000 – Naismith Coach of the Year or NCAA Coach of the Year as selected by the AP or the U.S. Basketball Writers’ Association Single-Year APR
$50,000 – Above 950
$75,000 above 975
