The Ole Miss Athletic Department recently announced a schedule change for this weekend’s Grove Bowl due to inclement weather expected in the Oxford area. The Nissan Grove Bowl at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium will remain at 3 p.m. CT on SEC Network.
Coach Matt Luke and his squad spring practice culminate spring drills on Saturday as they strapped the pads back on Feb. 26 to prepare for the upcoming 2019 season.
The Nissan Grove Bowl format will feature the Ole Miss offense (wearing blue) against the defense (wearing red). The defense will be spotted a 27-0 lead as the offense tries to score enough to overtake them. The defense may increase its point total through turnovers that lead directly to scores, whether by returns for touchdowns (6 points + PAT) or returns into field goal range (3 points if FG made). In the latter, the field goal will be kicked on the next play after the return.
Ole Miss Baseball will host Florida for a doubleheader Saturday starting at noon. There will be an extended break of approximately an hour between games to permit fans to walk over to the spring football game, per Athletics.
The original 7 p.m. air time on SEC Network—that was slated for game two in the series—will re-air the noon game.
